Nutrition and Health Education (including feeding program)
Emahoy Tsega Girmay Foundation aims to assist in improving the nutritional status of children and mothers at critical points in their lives. To do this we provide a supplementary feeding and growth monitoring program within the community so those suffering malnutrition can be assisted. We also provide to those attending education in relation to nutrition and hygiene.
Government and Health Institution provisions
The Charity provides necessary equipment and provisions to health institutions throughout Addis Ababa. The objective is to ensure that adequate services be provided and accessible to all who are need of it. Providing this equipment updates and supplements the equipment already in place or to provide for the lack of suitable materials.
Previously, health clinics/posts have been established in rural areas throughout the region which provide necessary health assistance to the communities. These have been handed over to the communities and local government bodies to continue the services.
Training Government Health Extension Workers
Providing additional and necessary training to the government health extension workers is part of one of the community projects we undertake.
We are able to provide training using expert facilitators to those working in the community.
