Women Empowerment through Skill Training

The Women Empowerment through Skill Training program by Abebech Gobena Charity is a crucial initiative aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged women. By offering various skill-building opportunities, the program seeks to empower women, helping them uplift their families and communities. The project has been supported by Menschen für Menschen Switzerland through 22 rounds of training programs, and they are committed to continuing their financial support.

A significant component of this initiative is the Food Preparation and Catering Training Center, established in July 2002. The center focuses on helping vulnerable women such as survival sex workers, street girls, victims of sexual violence, and abused women returning from Arab countries. This skill training gives these women a means to improve their economic situation, fostering their independence and contributing to societal well-being.

This kind of targeted training has the potential to create profound, long-term impacts not only on the individuals involved but also on their children and communities.
